PROPOSAL FOR PAPER/WORKSHOP

 The Call for Papers is to solicit workshop, paper and poster proposals.  Selection of presentations will be at the discretion of the Conference Committee.  Please include the following information.

·          Name of contact person

·          Address

·          Title of Presentation

·          Author(s) [Please underline presenter(s)]. 

For each author briefly state the expertise/experience which qualifies him/her to present this topic. 

·          Abstract (100-200 words).  Include the following:

- Statement of the issue to be addressed and a rationale for its relevance to the conference title.

- Clearly stated objective for the session.

- Statement of how the objective will be addressed, eg throughout presentation of research, case study, literature review, etc.

- Implications for policies and practice.

·          Presentation format and length:

q       Paper                                      (45 mins)

q       Workshop                             (1.5 hours)

q       Intensive seminar                 (2.0 - 2.5 hours)

q       Poster session (to be staffed for a designated time slot)

Call For Papers: Australiasian Association of Hospital Play Therapists

The Australiasian Association of Hospital Play Therapists will be holding its first National Conference on November 24th and 25th 2001 at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. The theme of the conference is a look at the moves that the profession is taking to develop itself within the health care systems within which we work. The conference convenors are looking for presenters who would present on new and innovative programs, developments and research that is taking place within their departments and work places. 

Abstracts should include the following: Title of presentation, Name of presenter, Presenters title, including brief resume, Presenters work place, 100 words describing the content of the presentation.

Presentations will be kept to a 50 minute time limit with 10 minutes made available for question time. Abstracts should be sent to Joanne Bruhn, AAHPS conference convenor, c/ E.P.T., Royal Children's Hospital, Flemington Road, Parkville. 3052. It is requested that abstracts be sent where possible via email saved as a Word 98 document. It is preferred that abstracts be printed in arial 10 point and be single spaced.
