*Update* 15/01/2008

Dear Play Staff.

Thank you to all those I've had the pleasure of speaking to since my first email was published on the NAHPS website a few months back, you have made my job a far simpler one in terms of organising and planning the Walt Disney Children's Hospice/Hospital Giving Programme (CHHGP).

Just to update you the programme is full steam ahead for mid March, letters and feedback forms have been sent out to all those we have been able to include this year and already we have had a 70% return in just over a week. Unfortunately we had to cap the amount of beds we could reach overall to around 3000 as this was as far as we could push our budget, obviously we would like to help everyone but the aim next year is to increase the capacity of the programme even further.

I would like to assure all the play staff that left voice messages and emails that their details have been logged on the company database for inclusion in the CHHGP for either this year or the following year, unfortunately we could only include as many this year as our budget permitted on a first come first served basis.

Thank you again for your patience as the CHHGP has been a long work in progress, we wish you all the best for the New Year and I look forward to working with such a fantastic organisation as NAHPS in the coming months.

Kindest regards.

Please Note: The hospital or unit must have at least 25 child specific beds

To all Hospital Play Specialists out there, here is an offer you may want to follow up. Just ring the number below and give them your details

Hello,

As part of the Walt Disney Company's Childrens Hospice/Hospital Giving Programme (CHHGP), this year we are donating pallets of toys and product to as many children's wards and hospitals as possible throughout the UK. Last year was the pilot for this scheme and now we aim to increase our reach and involve children's wards and hospitals throughout Ireland as well. One of the major lessons learned from last years trial was that it was made far easier to get the product to the right people when we had the help of play coordinators/play specialists and for this we cannot thank you enough.

If you require any further information on the Childrens Hospice/Hospital Giving Programme (CHHGP) I would be more than happy to provide it for you. One of our greatest challenges has been getting the right product to the right people in the right place so with your help we could really make a difference.

Kind regards.
