We are looking for a creative thinker, experienced in working with teenagers, and knowledgeable about the impact of hospitalisation and disease on the individual, to fill our vacancy for a full time Activity Co-ordinator’s post on the Middlesex Adolescent Unit at The Middlesex Hospital. In this unique 19 bedded ward, the post holder will lead recreational and creative activities for the patients aged 13 to 19 years, organise social events and give emotional support to the patients and their families. S/he will work as part of the multi  disciplinary  team, attending ward rounds and contributing to case discussions. S/he must have excellent communication skills, be adaptable and resourceful in leading activities and demonstrate sensitivity to the emotional needs of teenagers facing complex challenges because of their illness. The BTEC CEC in Hospital Play Specialism would be an advantage.
