Joining the Children¹s Unit at St Mary¹s Hospital, you will work as part of the healthcare team to provide play, distraction and development to sick children of all ages.

 

Although very much part of a team, you will organise, initiate and supervise play as well as participating in the assessment of developmental and emotional needs of children. The key element of this role will be to alleviate the effects of hospitalisation on children and therefore contribute to the child¹s recovery. A minimum of NNEB/NVQ in Child Care will be essential whilst the Hospital Play Specialist Course would be an advantage.
