NAHPS is a charity with a turnover of around £10,000 a year and 400 members. The work of  this charity is conducted by practising Hospital Play Specialists. The charity is run on the income from its membership, publications sales and conference fees. Apart from auditor’s fees, we have no salaried staff. We are the only organisation in Europe dedicated to promoting play for children in hospital and are asked for advice from all over the world. Around 500 enquiries are dealt with each year from Health Trusts, hospital managers, medical and nursing staff, students, play staff and parents. We publish a bi-annual professional journal, regular newsletters, and information leaflets. The charity organises study days and conferences which keep its members up to date with all that's new in the field.

There have been many Milestones in NAHPS history.
